The City of Chardon Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing to consider the applications described below on Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at 6:30 P.M. in Council Chambers at the Municipal Center, 111 Water St, Chardon OH 44024. The meeting is subject to adjournment or recess to a later date without another Notice of Public Hearing (ORC 3115.05(c)).
PC Cases #17-064 & #17-065: Applicant – Ben Sage is requesting two variances from Section 1133.05 as follows 1) Reduce the minimum 250’ of frontage at the building setback line (Proposed 102.06’) and 2) Reduce the 150’ minimum rear property line width (Proposed 78.36’). The variance is to allow for Concept Plan approval of a lot split of approximately 10.1 acres to construct a single family residence off of Auburn Road. Additionally the applicant is requesting variances for the construction of a single family residence as follows: 1) Section 1155.37(f)(1) to allow for the driveway to be installed in gravel instead of concrete or asphalt. 2) Section 905.51(c)(3) to waive the installation of sidewalks along Auburn Road until such time there are sidewalks within 500’ of the property.
