NOTICE OF SECOND PUBLIC HEARING

CDBG PY 2021 Community Development
Allocation Grant Program

  The Geauga County Board of Commissioners intends to apply to the Ohio Development Services Agency for funding under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, a federally-funded program administered by the state. The county is eligible for up to $284,000 of PY 2021 CDBG Community Development Allocation funding, provided the County meets applicable program requirements. On April 13, 2021, the County conducted its first public hearing to inform citizens about the CDBG program, how it may be used, what activities are eligible, and other important requirements. Based on citizens input, the County is proposing to undertake the following CDBG activities utilizing the Allocation Grant Funds:

  1. Public Services, Geauga County Dept. on Aging, $60,123.00 ($59,750.00 CDBG & $373.00 Match), National Objective – LMI-Limited Clientele;

  2. Parks & Recreation Facilities, Camp Ho Mita Koda Foundation, $52,000.00 CDBG Funds, National Objective – LMI- Direct Benefit;

  3. Public Services, Cleveland Sight Center, $17,950.00 CDBG Funds, National Objective – LMI-Limited Clientele;

  4. Public Services, Village of Middlefield, $20,000.00 CDBG Funds, National Objective- LMI – Limited Clientele;

5. Neighborhood Facilities, DDC Clinic, $45,500.00 CDBG Funds, National Objective – LMI – Limited Clientele

2021 CRACK SEAL OF VARIOUS AUBURN TOWNSHIP ROADS

  Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Auburn Township Board of Trustees for the Crack Seal of Various Roads in Auburn Township until 4:00 p.m. official local time on Friday, June 4, 2021.

  Specifications may be obtained from the Auburn Administration Office from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. during normal working days or downloaded from the township website, www.auburntownship.com. Bidders are required to return the Bid Forms and to note on the outside of the sealed bid envelope “Bid for the 2021 Crack Seal of Various Auburn Township Roads.”   A bid guaranty in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the bid amount or a certified check, cashier’s check or letter of credit pursuant to Chapter 1305 of the Ohio Revised Code in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount shall accompany each bid.  The bid bond will be held as a performance bond until acceptance of the completed project by the Auburn Township Highway Superintendent.  Bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud at 7:40 p.m. on Monday, June 7, 2021 at the regular meeting of the Board of Trustees at 11010 Washington Street, Auburn Township 44023.

  The Auburn Township Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received and to accept any bid or bids which are deemed most favorable to the Board at the time and under conditions stipulated, all in accord with the applicable provisions of laws of the State of Ohio governing the conduct of the Auburn Township Board of Trustees.
