The Portage-Geauga Joint Board of Commissioners will convene a Public Hearing and regular meeting on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at 10:30 AM in the Portage County Commissioners’ Board Room located at 449 South Meridian Street, Ravenna, for the purpose of discussing and adopting the proposed Fiscal Year 2023 Tax Budget and any other general-purpose business to come before the Board. All citizens are invited to attend.

COMMISSIONERS IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTIONS 731.21 AND 1545.09 OF THE OHIO REVISED CODE
In accordance with Section 731.21 of the Ohio Revised Code, notice is hereby given that on June 20, 2022, the amendments to Articles III, XI, XIII and XVII of the Bylaws of the Geauga Park District Board of Park Commissioners will go into effect.
In summary, the bylaws have been updated to eliminate monthly approval of vouchers; proposed changes in Articles III and XI now detail responsibilities of the Director of Finance; proposed Article III, Paragraph 4 permits both the Executive Director and the Director of Finance to execute legal documents; and proposed Articles XIII and XVII now permit the Director of Finance to certify availability of funds for professional services (Article XIII), as well as the compensation of GPD positions (Article XVII).

Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Geauga County Board of Commissioners, currently located at 470 Center St. Building #4, Chardon, Ohio 44024, and will receive bids in person or by mail at the location of 12611 Ravenwood Drive, Suite #350, Chardon, Ohio 44024 beginning on July 12, 2022 until 1:45 p.m. local time on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 and will be opened and read aloud at 2:00 p.m. in Commissioners Chambers at that address.
Bids will be received for the installation of security cameras and associated hardware and software at the Geauga County Sheriff’s Office and throughout the Geauga County Safety Center.
Each bid must be accompanied by a certified or cashier’s check or an irrevocable letter of credit pursuant to Chapter 1305 of the Ohio Revised Code, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, or a bid guaranty in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the bid amount, such check or bid guaranty to be made in favor of the Geauga County Board of Commissioners and shall be held as a guarantee that in the event the bid is accepted and a contract awarded to the Bidder, the contract will be duly executed and its performance properly secured.
