Legal notice is hereby given that the County of Geauga, within the State of Ohio, is applying to the Ohio Department of Transportation for the following 2019 grant: CY 2019 Rural Transit Program (49 USC Section 5311) GRANT. The operating grant will provide financial assistance for public transportation service for the residents of Geauga County CY 2019. The service will operate Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Fares are $6.00 per one-way trip; elderly and disabled ride for $3.00 per one-way trip. The capital grant will provide financial assistance to purchase two wheelchair lift-equipped light transit vehicles. The E & D grant will provide State funds to offset the half fares offered to elderly and disabled passengers. The Geauga County Board of Commissioners invite comments and/or written proposals from all interested Public, Private and Paratransit Operators, including taxi operators regarding the proposed continuation of service and the purchase of replacement transit vehicles.

A public hearing will be held at an accessible location on September 25, 2018 at 9:15 A.M. during public session of the Geauga County Board of Commissioners, located at 470 Center Street, Building 4, Chardon, Ohio 44024. Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Geauga County Board of Commissioners, 470 Center Street, Bldg. #4, Chardon, Ohio, 44024, or by mail at the same address until 1:45 p.m., local time Wednesday, October 3, 2018, and will be promptly opened at 2:00 p.m. for the Elderly Nutrition Program Preparation and Delivery of Catered Meals, according to federal guidelines, for the Geauga County Department on Aging.

Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check, cashier’s check or money order on a solvent bank or savings and loan association, payable to the Geauga County Board of Commissioners, in an amount equal to five (5%) percent of the bid and shall be held as a guarantee that in the event the bid is accepted and a contract awarded to the Bidder, the contract will be duly executed in conformity with the invitation and the bid.

Envelopes containing the bid and other required documents should be sealed and clearly marked “Elderly Nutrition Program Bid for the Preparation and Delivery of Catered Meals for the Geauga County Department on Aging.”, Attention: Clerk, Geauga County Board of County Commissioners, 470 Center St Building #4, Chardon OH 44024.

The successful bidder is required to enter into a contract assuring the faithful performance of all things to be done and furnish a performance bond in a sum of not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid price for the complete work, said bond to be that of an approved surety company authorized to transact business in the State of Ohio meeting the requirements of O.R.C. Section 153.519.

Sealed bids for “Phase III Roof Replacements” for Board of Education, Cardinal Local School District, Middlefield, Ohio will be received by the Board of Education at the office of:

until 10:00 A.M., on Friday, September 14, 2018 and will be publicly opened by the Treasurer.

The proposed work consists of all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary for separate prime bids for two roof replacements that include complete tear-off of existing built-up roofs and installation of new EPDM roof systems, and related work. The project locations are Cardinal High School and Cardinal Intermediate School.

A mandatory Pre-bid Conference will be held at Cardinal High School, 14785 North Thompson Avenue, Middlefield, Ohio 44062, on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 10:30 A.M.; meet at the Main Entrance.

Each bid shall be submitted on forms furnished by the School District, and shall be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a 100% Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond, conforming to the requirements of Sec. 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code, issued by a Surety licensed to do business in the State of Ohio, and payable to Cardinal Local School District for the full amount of the sealed bid, or a certified check in an amount of 10% of the bid.
