Village of Middlefield

  Notice is hereby given that during the Council Meeting held August 12, 2021, the Village of Middlefield passed the following legislation:

  Resolution 21-14: Approving a Loan To my Vision Middlefield LLC, in the Amount of $116,800, from the Village’s Local Revolving Loan Fund, and Declaring an Emergency.

  Resolution 21-15: To Accept the Material Te-rms of the One Ohio Subdivision Settlement Pursuant to the One Ohio Memorandum of Understanding and Consistent with the Terms of the July 21, 2021 National Opioid Settlement Agreement, and Declaring an Emergency.

  Ordinance 21-125: Authorizing Various Activities Related to the 3rd Annual Geauga Veteran’s Sports Fest, Waiving the Prohibition of the Codified Ordinances Regarding same, and Declaring an Emergency.

  Ordinance 21-127: Accepting the Bid of Ronyak Paving, Inc. for the Elmwood Street, Maple Avenue, Oakdale Street and Cedarwood Court Resurfacing Project, in an Amount not to Exceed $120,575.00 as the Lowest and Best Bid, and Declaring an Emergency.

  Ordinance 21-123: Enacting New Codified Ordinances Chapter 1313 Entitled “Abatement of Nuisances”, and Declaring an Emergency.

GEAUGA COUNTY

  Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Geauga County Board of Commissioners for the Geauga County Board of Developmental Disabilities c/o Christine Blair, Clerk at 470 Center Street, Building 4, Chardon, Ohio, 44024, or by mail at the same address until 1:45 p.m. local time on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 for the Geauga DD Playground Replacement. Bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud the same day at 2:00 p.m.   

  The envelope containing the bid and other required documents should be sealed and clearly marked with your company name and return address, labeled “Geauga DD Playground Replacement, Attention:  Christine Blair, Clerk.  At the address of 470 Center St Bldg. #4 Chardon, OH  44024.

  Copies of the plans and/or specifications may be obtained online at geaugadd.org/playground.  A copy of this legal notice is posted on geaugadd.org/legal-notices and on the County Website.

  A bid guaranty in the amount of one hundred (100%) percent of the bid amount or a certified check, cashier’s check or letter of credit pursuant to Chapter 1305 of the Ohio Revised Code in the amount of ten (10%) of the total bid amount shall accompany each bid.

  All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project.  Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements as determined by the Ohio Department of Industrial Relations.

  Bids may be held by the Geauga County Board of Commissioners for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of opening, for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding the contract.

  The successful bidder is required to furnish a bond for the faithful performance of the contract in a sum of not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid price for the complete work, said bond to be that of an approved surety company authorized to transact business in the State of Ohio meeting the requirements of the O.R.C. Section 153.54.

  A MANDATORY pre-bid meeting will be held on September 8, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the GCBDD, 8200 Cedar Road, Chesterland, Ohio 44026.

  The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received, and to accept any bid or bids which are deemed most favorable to the Board at the time and under conditions stipulated, all in accord with the applicable provisions of laws of the State of Ohio governing the conduct of the Board of County Commissioners of Geauga County.

NOTICE FOR BIDS FOR USED EQUIPMENT

Parkman Township

  Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Parkman Township Board of Trustees, Attention: Fiscal Officer, 16295 Main Market Road, West Farmington, Ohio 44491 until 7:00 PM on September 7, 2021 at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 8:00 PM for the purchase of the following used equipment:

1. Carter Storage Container

  Equipment is used and is being sold “as is where is” without warranty. To inspect the container  prior to bidding, contact the Road Department at 440-548-8671. Bids must clearly identify a specific bid price. All bids must include a deposit of 10% of the bid price. Unsuccessful bidders will have their deposit returned. The successful bidder must pay in full and remove item within 10 days of bid acceptance by the Board of Trustees. Failure to remove the item within 10 days will result in the forfeiture of the deposit and the item will be made available to the next highest bidder. Item is not for use in Parkman Township as it is against Zoning Regulations.

  The Parkman Township Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The Board further reserves the right to waive any bidding inconsistencies. The Board’s decision on all bids is final.
