21-P-000263 – Hannah Dodrill, Plaintiff v. John Robert Riendau III, et al., Defendants.

  John Robert Riendau III, whose residence is unknown but whose last known address is 11790 Clarkwood Drive, Chardon, Ohio 44024, is hereby notified that a Complaint was filed in Geauga County, Common Pleas Court, 100 Short Court, Suite 300, Chardon, Ohio 44024, alleging that on or about July 17, 2019, Plaintiff was operating a 2012 Chrysler 200 southbound on State Route 44 in Newbury Township, Geauga County, Ohio; that Defendant, John Robert Riendau III, was operating his vehicle and was traveling northbound onto State Route 44 when he failed to yield when turning left, failed to stop and struck Plaintiff’s vehicle head on; that as a result of Defendant’s negligence, Plaintiff, Hannah Dodrill sustained physical injuries which are permanent, physical pain and suffering and a permanent loss of enjoyment of life, personal injuries, medical expenses and that Plaintiff also sustained lost wages and will continue to do so in the future; that John Doe Defendants Numbers 1 to 8 individuals, corporations or other business entities whose names and addresses are currently unknown may be responsible for Plaintiff’s injuries alleged herein; that at the time of the collision, Plaintiff was a beneficiary under a health plan issued by Defendant, Medicaid; that Defendant, Medicaid may claim a right of subrogation in relation to said expenses paid on behalf of Plaintiff; wherefore Plaintiff demands judgment against Defendants in an amount in excess of $25,000.00 for damages, costs and expenses incurred; for declaratory relief against Defendant, Medicaid, with respect to Plaintiff’s contractual rights under the respective health plan issued on and for any other relief to which Plaintiff may be entitled.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

City of Chardon

  Residents of the City of Chardon shall take note that a public hearing shall be conducted by the Council of the City of Chardon in Council Chambers of the Chardon Municipal Center, 111 Water Street, Chardon, Ohio at 6:20 P.M. on September 9, 2021.

  Said hearing is to provide the public an opportunity to comment regarding a proposed amendment to the approved Concept Plan for Maple Ridge PRD Subdivision (Formerly known as Brooks Meadows PRD subdivision).  Applicant – Frontier Land Group, is requesting an amendment to the approved Concept Plan for a Major Development under Section 1111 of the City of Chardon Codified Ordinances.  The proposed plan is for a 96 unit detached single family home Planned Residential Development (subdivision).  As part of the request the applicants are requesting a waiver/variance pursuant so Codified Ordinance Section 1137.17 as follows: Waive the requirement of the installation of sidewalks on a portion of the south side of Public Street “A” pursuant to Section 905.51. The property is located on the east side of South St. approximately 1,000 ft. south of the intersection of Bass Lake Road, Lost Pond Parkway and South St. The address of the property is XXX South St. Chardon, OH 44024 with Parcel ID# 10-009111.  The property is owned by Industrial Developers Diversified Limited.  The total acreage of the proposed PRD is 40.11 acres.

  A copy of the amendment to the Concept Plan is on file and available for public inspection in the office of the Clerk of Council of said City, weekdays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

  City of Chardon Planning Commission will take these matters under consideration at their Tuesday, August 31, 2021 meeting.  The meeting will take place at 6:30 PM in Council Chambers, Chardon Municipal Center, 111 Water Street, Chardon OH 44024.

  Alfred Rosteck, Dolores R. Rosteck and the Unknown Heirs, if any, of Alfred Rosteck, whose last known address is 815 Frost Road, Apt 2206, Streetsboro, Ohio 44241, and present address is unknown, and cannot, with reasonable diligence, be ascertained shall take notice; and, if deceased, their unknown heirs, devises, legatees, administrators, executors and assigns will take notice that on the  8th  day of April, 2021, the  Treasurer Of Geauga County, filed a Complaint in the Court of Common Pleas, Geauga County, Ohio located at 100 Short Court Street, Chardon, Ohio 44024, entitled  Christopher P. Hitchcock, Treasurer Of Geauga County vs. Alfred Rosteck, et al., Case No: 21-F-000233, against the above-named parties, praying that the premises hereinafter described be sold for the collection of delinquent real estate taxes, owed and unpaid, is $6,972.52 together with accruing taxes, assessments, penalties, interest and charges; as well as court costs.  Said premises is described as permanent parcel number(s) 26-155700. A complete legal description of the parcel(s) can be obtained from the Geauga County Recorder’s Office. The volume and page number for the parcel(s) can be obtained from the Geauga County Auditor’s Office.

  The object of the action is to obtain from the Court a judgment foreclosing the tax liens against such real estate and ordering the sale of such real estate for the satisfaction of delinquent taxes.

  Such action is brought against the real property only and no personal judgment shall be entered in it.  However, if pursuant to the action, the property is sold for an amount that is less than the amount of the delinquent taxes, assessments, charges, penalties and interest against it, the Court, in a separate order, may enter a deficiency judgment against the owner of record of a parcel for the amount of the difference; if that owner of record is a corporation, the Court may enter the deficiency judgment against the stockholder holding a majority of the corporation’s stock.

  The above-named parties are required to answer on or before 28 days after the last date of publication.  Such answer must be filed with the Clerk of Courts, and a copy must be served on the Prosecuting Attorney.
