Man Calls Police on Stripper For ‘Not Performing’

A Florida man staying in Chardon Township believed the woman was hired to have sex with him.

A Florida man who called an escort service and hired a stripper later called police when the stripper failed to have sex with him, according to reports.

“Caller is reporting he paid for a stripper and she’s not performing,” according to the Geauga County Sheriff’s Office incident report from July 9.

Wilfredo Zalavarria, 48, of Miami Gardens, Fla., and his nephew, Italo Zalvarria, 23, of Deltona, Fla., were both arrested and charged in the incident.

The chaotic incident took place after 10 p.m. on Sunday night when Wilfredo paid $195 for an escort service to come to 9960 Campton Ridge Drive in Chardon Township, where he was staying with four other men, according to the report.

Sheriff’s office deputies responded with help from City of Chardon police after Wilfredo called 911.

A deputy who arrived heard Wilfredo state “that he did not pay for a fat stripper to come over and that he wanted his money back,” the report said.

The report went on to say Wilfredo told a deputy he had hired the woman through an escort service with the belief he was paying to have sex with her.

“(He) admitted he believed that paying females to have sex was legal in Ohio and he did not know that it was against the law,” deputies said in the report.

The following narrative was described:

After the woman arrived, she was taken into a bedroom where Wilfredo and Italo wanted her to have sex with them.

“(She) stated that she does not have sex with clients, only strips.”

The two men got upset and would not let her leave, demanding at least half of their money back. The woman was stuck in the bedroom arguing for about five minutes when she started screaming loudly enough for the man she came with to hear from the car.

When he approached Wilfredo and Italo, the three men began yelling at each other, then Italo grabbed the knife off of the man’s belt and threw it into the yard “so it could not be used.”

There were no injuries in the altercation. Both the woman and man from the escort service said they did not wish to press charges and refused to provide written statements.

Wilfredo and Italo were taken to the Geauga County Safety Center that night where they posted bond.

Italo was originally charged with misdemeanor unlawful restraint, but he later pleaded guilty to criminal mischief, a third-degree misdemeanor.

Chardon Municipal Court Judge Terri Stupica sentenced Italo to 60 days in jail, with 59 days suspended, and credited him for one day served. He was also fined $50 and given a year of probation, and ordered to refrain from the use of drugs or alcohol.

According to Florida court records and news reports, Italo had been arrested in 2012 on drug charges.

Wilfredo has pleaded not guilty to compelling prostitution, a third-degree felony, and unlawful restraint, a third-degree misdemeanor. He was out of jail after posting a 10 percent of $50,000 bond.
