Alan James Hrabak
Alan James Hrabak, age 88, of Bainbridge Township, passed away Oct. 14, 2023. He was born Feb. 10, 1935.
Beloved husband of the late Leora Mae (nee Arnold) for 59 years; loving father of William J. (Carolyn) and Thomas A. (Diane) Hrabak; dearest grandfather of Amanda (Terry) Scott, TJ (Jordan) Hrabak, JJ (Ashley) Hrabak, Ryan (Charlotte) Dagg, Zach Hrabak and Tricia Garrett; great-grandfather of Karlie, Trent, Parker, Logan and Blake; cherished son of the late James J. and the late Marie J. Hrabak; brother of Ann Crowley and Audrey Stull.
Alan was an uncle to many nephews and nieces.
Alan graduated from Bainbridge High School (Kenston Hight School) in 1953 and was an All-Ohio football player. Later, he graduated from Hiram College in 1957 and he served as a member for the Hiram-Hollinger Athletic Hall of Fame.
Throughout his lifetime, Alan was an educator for the Kenston Schools Board of Education, a teacher, coach and athletic director at Kenston High School. He received recognition for the Kenston Education Honor Award and was inducted to the Kenston Alumni Distinguished Hall of Fame.
Family and friends received at St. John Funeral Home, 16381 Chillicothe Road, Bainbridge, on Thursday, Oct. 19, 2023, from 4-8 p.m. Interment private.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Kenston Bomber Elite Football Club, Kenston High School, 9500 Bainbridge Road, Chagrin Falls, OH 44023.
