Anna Rose Fatica

She was born April 14, 1935, in Cleveland, to the late Giuseppe and Carmella (née Gatto) Catanese.
On Aug. 29, 1959, Anna married the love of her life, Anthony “Tony” J. Fatica, at Holy Redeemer Church in Collinwood. They made their home in Munson in 1961, where they raised their daughter and shared 60 wonderful years together. Tony preceded her in death on Feb. 18, 2020.
Anna worked as a teller at Security Federal for 18 years, where she was known and loved by coworkers and customers alike. She was admired for her professionalism, warm smile and joyful heart.
Above all, Anna was a devoted wife, mother, sister and friend. She will be most fondly remembered for her vibrant presence in her daughter’s school community in the 1970s. As a dedicated Room Mom and PTA member at Park Elementary School, Anna left a lasting impression on students and staff alike. Alongside her dear friend Joyce, Anna embraced every opportunity to celebrate the children she lovingly called the “youngsters.” Whether dressing up as Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny or an Alaskan “Eskimo mom” with a papoose during a lesson on Alaska, Anna went above and beyond to bring joy and imagination to the classroom. She truly embodied the spirit of giving and was a treasured part of the school’s history.
AAnna loved playing bingo and cards, and she had a deep appreciation for music. She especially enjoyed listening to Andrea Bocelli on her beloved Bose speaker, and her home was always filled with music playing. Her infectious laugh, kind heart and gentle nature drew people to her — she made friends wherever she went and always left people feeling better for having spent time with her.
The family would like to extend sincere gratitude to the staff and residents at Ohman Family Living at Blossom for their compassionate care, kindness and friendship. Anna cherished her time there and the community she became a part of.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday, May 2, 2025, at the St. Mary Church, 401 North St., Chardon. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12 p.m., with burial immediately after at Maple Hill Cemetery in Munson Township.
Arrangements are entrusted to Burr Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.burrservice.com.
Anna’s legacy is one of love, laughter and heartfelt service to others. She will be remembered always and missed deeply by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
