Arleen C. Ferlito

Arleen C. Ferlito, age 95, passed away peacefully on Aug. 1, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on Aug. 26, 1929, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Arthur C. and Stella (nee Kuzminski), Arleen spent her formative years in the close-knit community of Coventry. She graduated from Cleveland Heights High School in 1947 and carried with her a deep appreciation for the friendships and values shaped during those early years.

Some of Arleen’s most treasured memories were made during summers at her family’s cottage in Lakeline. The lake was her happy place, a source of lifelong joy and serenity. Her love for the water remained a constant throughout her life.

Above all else, Arleen cherished her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, whose gentle presence and unwavering love left a lasting imprint on everyone she knew. She found great joy in quiet pastimes, completing jigsaw puzzles, practicing needlework and immersing herself in books.

She is lovingly remembered by her children, Ronald (Audi) Welter, of Stow, Mass., and Lynn (Tom) Schikowski, of Chardon; her grandchildren, Candace (Mike) McCracken, Rob (Lindsay) Schikowski and Ice (Mai) Sookying; and her great-grandchildren, Devin, Makenna, Aurora and Parker.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Anthony Ferlito.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 8, 2025, at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon. A memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. A private family burial will follow.

Arleen’s life was a quiet testament to grace, love, and enduring family bonds. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

Arrangements are entrusted to Burr Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Online condolences and shared memories may be left at www.burrservice.com.
