Betty Louise Reinhart
Betty Louise Reinhart, age 92, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2026.
She was born on Oct. 27, 1933, in Greenville, Pa., to the late James Bankston and Marie Bankston (née Bacon).
Betty spent 65 years of her life in Chardon, Ohio, where she lovingly raised her family and built a life centered around caring for others. She was a dedicated volunteer with the Cancer Society and devoted much of her time to helping those in need.
Betty was an avid reader and deeply involved in her children’s activities throughout the years. More than anything, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were truly the center of her world and brought her endless joy.
Betty married the love of her life, Royce Reinhart Sr., who preceded her in death in 1996.
She leaves behind her loving children, Stephen (Amy) Reinhart, of Middlefield, Ohio, Royce (Jessica) Reinhart Jr., of Madison, Ohio, and Lynn (Scott) Neill, of Chardon, Ohio. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Joy, Daniel, Evan, Matthew (Christina), Scott Jr. (Erin), Adam (Rachel), Brandon, Bridgette, Emily, Mariah and Jacob; as well as 20 beloved great-grandchildren, all of whom brought tremendous joy and pride to her life.
In addition to her husband, Betty was preceded in death by her beloved son Jeffrey Reinhart; as well as one brother and one sister.
Betty will be remembered for her kind heart, dedication to her family and the love she shared with those around her. Her warmth, strength and devotion created a legacy that will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A visitation for friends and family will be held June 2, 2026, from 5-7 p.m., at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
