Boyd Theodore Douglass
Boyd Theodore Douglass, age 76, of Huntsburg Township, formerly of Chester Township, passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 24, 2024.
Boyd is the son of the late Theodore and Thelma (nee Whiting) Douglass. In addition to his parents, Boyd is preceded in death by his siblings Melvin, Marlene and Duane.
He is remembered by his wife, Ann (nee Tuthill); children, Amy Walker (Eric), Lindsay Snow (Rick), Marie Douglass (Mike); grandchildren, Alexa, Austin, Layla and Grayson; siblings Laverne Eberst (George) and Allen Douglass; companion, Cherie Burich; and nieces, nephews and many friends.
Boyd proudly served his country in the United States Army, where he earned the National Defense Service Medal, the Sharpshooter M-14 and Expert M-16.
After returning to civilian life, Boyd became a plumber.
He enjoyed being outdoors for hunting, fishing, biking with his brother, riding four-wheelers, and walking trails.
He found most of his joy surrounded by family, particularly his grandchildren.
Boyd brought so much love and joy to the lives of those he held close. He will be dearly missed.
Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, Jan. 12, 2025, from 2-6 p.m., at the Heritage House on Chardon Square, located at 111 E Park St, Chardon.
