Bruce Byron Brigham

Bruce Byron Brigham, 95, of Burton, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026.

He was born on Jan. 2, 1931, in Chardon, Ohio, to the late Walter and Marion (Pease) Brigham.

Bruce graduated from Burton High School in 1950 and served in the U.S. Army.

A dedicated community member, Bruce was a member of the Burton Congregational Church, where he assisted in many remodeling projects and volunteered at the Burton Food Cupboard.

He also was an active member of the Burton American Legion, Burton Chamber of Commerce, Burton Jaycees and East Geauga Kiwanis.

As the owner of B. B. Brigham Remodeling Company, he shared his craftsmanship with many.

Bruce was an avid fan of the Cleveland Guardians (Tribe) and the Cavs. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking—notably crafting cedar chests for family and friends—camping and snowmobiling. Most of all, he cherished time spent with his family.

He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Janet (Russell) Jacques, of Burton; sons, Byron (Catherine) Brigham, of Gainesville, Va., and David (Susan) Brigham, of Burton; grandchildren, Mary (Scott) Erdbruegger, Rachel (Daniel) Bretzius, Seth Brigham and Emmett Brigham; and great-grandchildren, Edison, Ean, Lacey, Kelsey and Quintin.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Patsy (nee Briggs) Brigham, whom he married July 28, 1956, and who passed away Jan. 30, 2024.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026, at 12 noon, at Burton Congregational Church, 14558 West Park St., Burton.

Donations can be made in Bruce’s name to Burton Congregational Church Food Cupboard or Church Fund, P.O. Box 496, Burton, OH 44021; or to East Geauga Kiwanis Club, P.O. Box 187, Middlefield, OH 44062.
