Carole Ann Mongelluzzi
Carole Ann Mongelluzzi (nee Sabetta), age 84, of Munson Township, died June 28, 2023, at Hillcrest Hospital, Mayfield Heights.
Born June 12, 1939, in Cleveland, to Frank Sabetta and Carmella (nee Serafini) Lawrence, and raised in Little Italy, Carole has been a Munson resident for the last 50 years.
Carole was an avid reader and she loved to sew, quilt, travel and play cards.
Her greatest joys were spending time with her grandchildren and with her close friends.
Carole helped raise two of her grandchildren.
She worked in the cafeteria at Munson Elementary, Chardon Middle School and Chardon High School, following her grandchildren.
Her sunshine was her great-granddaughter, Chloe.
Her survivors include her children, Cheryl Roy, of Stow, Carla (Gerald Filler) Mongelluzzi, of Stow, Nicholas (Shawn) Mongelluzzi, of Chardon; grandchildren, Nick Mongelluzzi, of Willoughby, Nichole (Ralph) Hayes, of Chardon, Amber Mongelluzzi, of Cleveland; and great-granddaughter, Chloe Hayes.
She also leaves siblings Frank (Tina) Sabetta, Susan (John) Bohnovic, Fran (David) Skotko.
Carole was preceded in death by her husband, William Mongelluzzi; son Mark Mongelluzzi; son-in-law Richard Roy Jr.; and parents.
The family will receive friends July 6, 2023, from 4-6 p.m., at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon.
Mass of Christian Burial will be July 7, 2023, at 10 a.m., at The Church of St. Mary, 401 North St., Chardon. Burial will follow at All Souls Cemetery.
