Cynthia Ann Lange
Cynthia Ann Lange (nee Bates), age 74, of Newbury Township, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2023.
She was born Jan. 23, 1949, in Cleveland, to the late Fred and Dovie (nee Smith) Bates.
Beloved wife of the late Wray Lange and Robert Ford.
Cindy was a lifelong Newbury resident, and proud Black Knight graduate. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and traveling whenever she had the opportunity.
Cindy was known for taking in any stray cat that would cross her porch. Her passion was spending several hours a day tending to her flower beds.
Survivors include her children, Brian (Kathy) Ford, Sarah Ford, Chris Ford; step-children, Erin (Han) Liou and Kerry (Bob) Hattier; grandchildren, Christopher, Kjristien, Robby, Ryan, Justin, Enid and Ione; great-grandchildren, Moritz, Jonathan and Eloise; and brothers, Chuck (Helen) Bates and Dave (Lisa) Bates. She also was aunt to five nieces and nephews; great-aunt to five great-nieces and great-nephews; and pet mom to her cat, Patches, and bearded dragon, Laverne.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, Aug. 13, from 12-3 p.m., at Corners Catering & Event Center, 11845 State Route 44, Mantua.
