Dale C. Krycak
Dale C. Krycak, 77, of Newbury Township, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Oct. 1, 2025.
Born on Sept. 21, 1948, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Harold Schubert and Betty (nee May) Turner, Dale lived a life marked by warmth, compassion and deep devotion to her family.
In 1981, Dale married the love of her life, Ralph Krycak, and together they built a beautiful life filled with love and laughter, raising two sons, Mark and Jeff. A devoted wife, mother, sister, and aunt, Dale was the heart and soul of her family—the beloved matriarch who looked after everyone with kindness and care.
Dale had a vibrant personality that drew people in. She always knew just what to say—and how to say it—with a perfect sense of timing and delivery that made her both wise and entertaining. She was the family storyteller, often captivating gatherings for hours with rich tales of family history, ensuring that the memories and traditions lived on.
She had a deep love for reading and puzzle games, finding joy in the quiet satisfaction of solving challenges and getting lost in a good book. Some of her fondest memories were made at the family cottage on Restful Lake, where she spent countless joyful moments walking along the lakeside with her sons, surrounded by laughter and love.
Dale is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph; and her parents, Harold Schubert and Betty (nee May) Turner.
She is survived by her loving sons, Mark and Jeff Krycak; brother, Mark Schubert (Cynthia, deceased); nephews, Eric and William; niece, Lynn; and great-nephew, Jamie.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Dale’s life at a visitation on Oct. 9, 2025, from 4-6 p.m., at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon, Ohio.
A graveside service will be held on Oct. 10, 2025, at 11 a.m., at Munn Cemetery in Newbury.
Dale will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
