Daniel Baskin
Daniel Baskin, age 76, a longtime Geauga County resident, passed away Nov. 4, 2020, at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center surrounded by family and lifelong friends.
Daniel was born Sept. 30, 1944, to Onofre and Myrtle (nee Wilms) Baskin, in Warren, Ohio.
He graduated from Newbury High School and Kent State University.
Daniel proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed owning and showing Hot Rod Cars, attending car shows, swap meets and playing golf.
He was a successful business owner as a case manager for workers’ compensation claims.
He is survived by his brother, Richard (Gay) Baskin; stepchildren, Rick Kusar, Betsy Johnson and Danny Kusar; aunt, Eleanor Pura; cousins, Joe Toth, Beverly Palinsky and Judy Brilla; lifelong friend, Barry Peterson; and his grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held in June 2021. Details to follow.
