David Bruce Wilmot Sr.
David Bruce Wilmot Sr., 83, of Athens, Ga., passed away on Aug. 14,2025.
Born in Ohio, he was the son of the late Hardie Fae Wilmot and Frank Bruce Wilmot.
David worked at Reliance Electric for 20 years. While at Reliance, David had the privilege of winding the first military atomic submarine motor. He then worked at Modern Body Shop with the Sapp’s for 25 years and retired at the age of 75.
David was a hard worker and always stayed active. He was an avid reader of the Bible and particularly interested in the study of Revelations.
David is survived by his children, Chanda Hubert (Brian) and David Wilmot Jr. (Maureen); grandchildren, Kyle Hubert, Victoria Hubert, Avery Wilmot and Duncan Wilmot; and one sister, Joan Stewart.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Red Cross or St. Jude Children Hospital, both of which David was involved in.
