Dolores M. Sanders
Funeral services for Dolores M. “Dolly” (nee Saywell) Sanders, 96, of Willoughby Hills, Ohio, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, 2026, at Willoughby Hills United Methodist Church, 34201 Eddy Road, Willoughby Hills.
Family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2026, at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Ave., Willoughby.
Dolly passed away Feb. 21, 2026, in Mayfield Heights, Ohio. She was born Dec. 11, 1929, in Cleveland, Ohio.
Dolly was a proud homemaker. She was an early member of Willoughby Hills United Methodist Church. She enjoyed knitting, volunteering in several area schools and her church, and researching genealogy. She loved traveling and spending time with her family at their summer home in Pymatuning. She was an avid Cleveland Browns and Indians fan.
Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were some of her greatest loves.
Survivors include her children, Dorothy Freeland, Darlene Haworth and Glenn E. (Lori) Sanders; grandchildren, Amy (Aaron) Waugh, Scott (Jessica) Haworth, Ashley (Andy) Sasak, Glenn N. Sanders, Michael (Shannon) Sanders and Rebecca (Nathan) Maynard; great-grandchildren, Perry and Eliza Waugh, AJ, Max, Theo and Lucy Sasak, Gianna D’Ambrosia-Sanders and Elliana Maynard. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and their families.
Dolly was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn W. Sanders, in 2001; sons-in-law, Edward “Mick” Freeland and Scott Haworth; brothers, Ed and Ken Saywell. Her parents, Edmund and Dorothy (nee Goss) Saywell are also deceased.
Final resting place will be next to the love of her life, Glenn, in Knollwood Cemetery, Mayfield Heights.
