Doris A. Baumgartner
RUSSELL TWP. – Doris A. Baumgartner (nee Campbell), 73, of Russell Township, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer, Thursday afternoon, Nov. 23, 2017. She was at home and surrounded by her family.
Doris was born in Bedford, Ohio, on Aug. 27, 1944, to the late Robert and Bertha (nee Learn) Campbell. She later married Jim Baumgartner in 1974.
She was an avid gardener and also enjoyed decorating and planning for the holidays. Doris especially loved making each holiday special for her grandchildren.
She was also passionate about putting others first by working as a home health caregiver for many years.
Doris will be greatly missed by her loving husband of 43 years, Jim; children, Laurie (Don) McPherson, Donald Swift, Sheila Thomas, Lisa (Glenn) Trenton, Michele (Mike) Malliski, Denise Baumgartner, Robert (Merissa) Baumgartner; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry Vernon; and many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter Mandi; and sister, Louise.
A private service will be held at a later date in Briar Hill Cemetery, Russell Township.
