Ernest Nicholas Malnar

Ernest proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged after a short period of service—something he carried with pride and gratitude throughout his life.
He was a man of many passions. Ernest loved computers and photography, always eager to learn something new or capture meaningful moments through his lens. A loyal Cleveland Indians baseball fan, he enjoyed following the team and sharing that enthusiasm with those around him. He also enjoyed bowling, a pastime he shared with friends and family over the years.
Ernest was known as an exceptionally hard worker. Throughout his career, he served as a supervisor at every place he worked, earning respect through his dedication, reliability and strong leadership.
Above all, Ernest deeply cherished his family. He idolized his granddaughter, Malina Ann Malnar, and could often be found at her softball games, proudly cheering from the stands. His devotion to his loved ones was the foundation of his life.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Teri Lynn Malnar; his sons, Nicholas (Melissa) Malnar, of Painesville, Ohio, Michael (Cheri) Malnar, of Chardon, Ohio; and step-son, Scott Brining, of Louisville, Ky.; his beloved granddaughter, Malina Ann Malnar; and his ex-wife, Patricia “Boots” Malnar. He is also survived by five nieces and nephews and seven great-nieces and great-nephews.
Ernest was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Olga Malnar; as well as his sisters, Genevieve Malnar, Mary Ann Steele and Teresa Malnar.
