Gayle A. Pelton
NEWBURY TWP. – Gayle A. (nee Jefferson) Pelton, a longtime resident of Newbury Township, passed away March 12, 2015, of Alzheimer’s disease at Burton Health Care. She was 82.
Gayle was born on Sept. 12, 1932, in Bainbridge Township, daughter of the late Merrill L. and Florence V. (nee Patterson) Jefferson. She married Milan Pelton Jr. on Jan. 6, 1954, in Chagrin Falls.
She was a homemaker, loving wife and caring mother, a grandmother and great-grandmother.
She loved playing cards, scrabble and traveling.
Gayle will be missed by her family and friends, including her beloved husband, Milan, of 61 years; loving children, Linda S. (Greg) Kaser, Milan I. (Barb) Pelton III, Rebecca Pelton and Brenda J. (Tim) Stankiwicz; grandchildren, David (April), Sheryl (Matt), Natalie and Cindy; and great-granddaughters, Emily, Georgia, Marissa and Loralei.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Florence and Marilyn; and brother Merrill.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Russell-Sly Family Funeral Home in Middlefield assisted family with arrangements.
