George Alan Machuta

Born June 30, 1959, in Claridon Township, to George and Rose (nee Frohlich) Machuta, he was a lifelong area resident.
George was the maintenance supervisor for the City of Painesville Power Plant for 40 years.
He enjoyed working on and helping others with projects (PLEASE return any borrowed tools). He also enjoyed camping and fishing with his family.
George was content, put his family first, and accomplished everything he wanted in life. He was a man of his word and well respected by all who knew him.
Survivors include, the love of his life, wife, Leslie (nee Deak) Machuta, of Leroy, whom he married Sept. 27, 1986; children, Kelly (John) Janor, of Hambden Township, and Kyle Machuta, of Cleveland; and grandchildren, Jackson and Jared Janor.
He also leaves his brothers, Lee Machuta, of Leesburg, Fla., and Brian (Barbara) Machuta, of Port Orange, Fla.; sister, Karen (Mike) Perry, of Ormond Beach, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews, and his buddy “Duke.”
He was predeceased by his parents; and brother, Mark Machuta.
The family received friends May 22, 2023, at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon.
Funeral services were May 23, 2023, with burial at Williams Cemetery in Leroy.
