Jean J. Talarcek
Jean J. Talarcek, age 98, passed away at home, surrounded by her family on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025.
She was born in 1927, in Cleveland, the daughter of Cathryn (nee Rodak) and John Kubiak. Jean was a 1945 graduate of South High School.
In 1948, Jean married Stanley Talarcek. Since 1954, they owned and operated J & S Television of Novelty. Jean ran the office and did all the bookkeeping for the business.
She was the heart of the house, making her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren her priority. Jean dedicated much of her time to her children’s activities, their school and volunteered at Geauga Hospital from time to time.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and her siblings, Charlotte, Emil, and Stella.
Survivors include her husband of 77 years, Stanley, of Russell Township; her four children, Suzanne J. (John) Nass, of Concord Township, Mike P. Talarcek, of Willoughby, Dan (Sue) Talarcek, of Hudson, and Kim P. (Debra) Talarcek of Chardon; grandchildren, Jason (Rowan), Staysie (Matt), Joshua, Gregory, Matthew and four others; and great-grandchildren, Kaile, Siobhan, Payton, Brookelyn and four others.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2025, at St. Anselm Catholic Church, 12969 Chillicothe Road, Chester Township. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2025, at Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home, 12524 Chillicothe Road, Chester Township, from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
