Jeremy Michael Snyder-Giel
Jeremy Michael Snyder-Giel, age 34, formerly of Burton, suddenly passed away on Sunday, Dec. 17, 2023, in Akron.
He was born July 18, 1989, in Mayfield Heights.
Jeremy was a graduate of Berkshire High School, in Burton, and attended the Naval Translation School, in California, where he learned to speak fluently in numerous languages. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Jeremy married the love of his life, Charles Giel-Snyder, on April 11, 2016, in Akron.
Jeremy loved music, his dog, Dynasty, but most of all he loved his husband, family and friends.
Jeremy is survived by his husband, Charles Giel-Snyder, of Akron; father, Michael (Carrie) Giel, of Burton; brothers, Jason Heiden, Bobby (Rachel) Heiden; sister, Jaime Lawson; aunt, Liza (Wayne) Greenway; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Susan Miller; grandparents, Fred and Lucy (nee Smith) Giel; grandfather, Clint Miller; and grandmother, Elizabeth Miller.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 3-5 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2023, at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon, with the Celebration of Life immediately following at 5 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Epilepsy Foundation of Ohio, 120 W. 2nd Street, Suite 425, Dayton, OH 45402.
