Joanne E. Friel
Joanne E. Friel (nee Hazen), age 89, of Munson Township, died Dec. 1, 2023, at David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland, 11 days before her 90th birthday.
Born Dec. 12, 1933, to Howard and Hazel (nee Willey) Hazen, in Chardon, she lived her entire life in Munson.
She enjoyed attending church and listening to hymns.
Joanne was a wonderful homemaker and her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Survivors include her daughters, Sheryl (Mark) Clemson, of Hambden Township, Gwen Friel, of Madison, and Linda Friel, of Chardon; grandchildren, Julie (Zed) Williams, of Hambden, and Chris (Jaimie) Clemson, of Colbrook; great-grandchildren, Jaxson Williams and Braxton Clemson.
She also leaves her sister, Glenda Baker, of Painesville; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Monday, Dec. 4, 2023, from 5-7 p.m., at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2023, at 11 a.m., at the funeral home, followed by burial at Maple Hill Cemetery, Munson.
