Joanne Graham
Joanne Graham (nee Atterholt), age 90, passed away peacefully May 26, 2024, at her residence.
Born Nov. 22, 1933, in Cleveland, she grew up in Cleveland Heights before moving to Chester Township in 1960.
Joanne was an extraordinarily respected librarian and teacher with Cleveland Public Schools for 20 years, retiring in 1996. After retiring, she volunteered at the Geauga County Public Library, Berkshire Elementary School Library in Burton, and also tutored many area middle and high school students in English and math.
Joanne was also a longtime and active member of Christ Presbyterian Church in Chester.
She is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob;” sons, Mark (Chris) and Maurice; grandchildren, Corey (Callie) Buczkowski and Alison Graham; great-grandson, Myles J. Buczkowski; and sister, Phyllis Brown.
Joanne is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Maime (nee McGlaughlin) Atterholt.
Family and friends may call at Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home, 12524 Chillicothe Road, Chesterland, on Thursday, May 30, 2024, from 4-8 p.m.
Private services and interment at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chesterland.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Joanne’s name may be made to the Berkshire Elementary School Library, 14155 Claridon Troy Road, Burton, OH 44021.
