Joseph Richard Hahn

He was the beloved father of Richard (Ruth) Hahn, Sandra (David) Mesaros, Karen S. Hahn and Joseph [Karen L.] Hahn; grandfather of 10; and great-grandfather of four.
Joe loved his family and lived almost his entire life in Chester Township, Ohio.
He graduated from Chester School in 1950. He played football, basketball and ran track in high school. He was the class president. Many of his classmates remained his close following friends.
Joe worked as a machinist at Addressograph in Euclid, Ohio, for over 30 years.
He loved golfing and belonged to the Pleasant Hills Golf Club.
Joe collected many antiques, especially vintage tobacco tins, old tin business signs and milk bottles. He loved perennial flower gardening and always had a very large tomato garden. He could often be found riding his tractor or working in his barn.
Joe loved traveling and camping under the stars. He often took trips out West. He especially enjoyed taking family and friends to see Mount Rushmore and the Black Hills of South Dakota. He often visited the beach with his friend John Bell.
For the last 30 years, he wintered in Myrtle Beach, S.C., where he played golf and walked the beach with friends.
Joe’s favorite day of the year was the 4th of July. Every year he hosted family and friends to watch the parade from his front yard and enjoy a BBQ in the backyard. Joe was an amazing storyteller.
He generously helped many people over the years and will be greatly missed.
Joe will be interred at the Chester Township Cemetery followed by a private family service.
