Linda C. Hart
Linda C. Hart, 84, of Chardon, died peacefully Nov. 24, 2023, under hospice care, just one week away from her 66th wedding anniversary with husband Clyde Hart Jr., whom she married in 1957.
Linda was born on Christmas Day, in 1938, to Russell and Helen Lemponen.
Linda and Clyde lived in Euclid before settling in the Lake/Geauga area.
She was a devoted homemaker to her husband and four daughters, Lori (Steve) Gladding, of Leroy Township, Shari (Dave) Oberg, of Chardon, Tami (Eric) Irons, of Painesville Township, and Vicki (David) Mullins, of Glendora, Calif.
Linda was also grandmother to Matthew Gladding, Curtis (Sarah) Oberg and Bruce Oberg.
A master of the English language, Linda conquered crossword puzzles daily (in ink!). She was a voracious reader, an excellent cook and baker, and enjoyed traveling to Holmes County, Ohio, and her favorite vacation spot, Restoule, Canada.
Linda and Clyde cultivated their love of horses through their daughters, and spent many summers at the Lake County Fair.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, Dec. 1, 2023, from 4-6 p.m., at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon, with a memorial service to follow at 6 p.m.
A private interment will be at North Chardon Cemetery, Chardon Township.
