Marilou J. Carver

Marilou J. Carver passed away on March 21, 2026, at home, surrounded by her family.

Born on March 31, 1945, in Chardon, Ohio, she spent most of her life in Hambden Township, Ohio, where she and her husband, Jeffrey Carver, built a life together raising beef cattle and creating a home full of hard work, laughter and love.

Marilou was a dedicated member of the Hambden Volunteer Fire Department from 1981 to 2001, proudly serving her community for two decades. She also gave countless hours as a 4-H advisor for the Geauga Beef and Swine Club from 1978 to 2009, mentoring and encouraging generations of young people in agriculture. Her passion for helping others and her commitment to her community left a lasting impact on many.

Affectionately known as “Auntie Toons,” Marilou was larger than life, with a big personality, quick wit and a one-of-a-kind sense of humor. She had a way of making people feel welcome, sharing laughter and turning everyday moments into lasting memories.

Whether on the farm, at a 4-H event or gathered with family and friends, she lived life fully and never hesitated to lend a helping hand.

She is survived by her son, Timothy (Janet) Carver; her grandsons, Justen, Jacob and Jeffrey; her twin brother, Larry Buehner; and her brother Thomas Buehner.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jeffrey Carver.

A private graveside service will be held for the family and a celebration of life will take place at the farm this summer.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Hambden Volunteer Fire Department in her memory at https://hambdenfire.org/donate/#online.

Arrangements are entrusted to The Original Burr Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.burrservice.com.
