Michael Anthony Hall
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Anthony Hall, age 56, of Mentor on the Lake, Ohio. Michael passed away on Sept. 5, 2024, at his home, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, joy and a life well-lived.
Born on July 28, 1968, to Betty (nee Zemak) Hall, in Cleveland, Michael’s life was marked by his boundless enthusiasm and zest for living.
His athletic spirit shone brightly as he excelled in football and baseball at the Marine Military Academy, showcasing his dedication and competitive spirit.
Michael’s diverse career path included managing at Ruby Tuesday’s and working as a card dealer at a casino in Pennsylvania.
He was especially proud of his role as a co-owner of the Lodge at Bass Lake, where he brought his passion for community and hospitality to life.
A lover of golf, sports and motorcycle rides, Michael embraced every moment with fervor. His Harley rides and travels were sources of great joy, reflecting his adventurous and free-spirited nature.
Michael is survived by his devoted parents, Joe and Betty Hall, of Mentor on the Lake; uncle, Tony Zemak; aunt, Shirley Bowman; uncle, John Hall and family; sister, Sharon Baldzicki; brother, Eddie Hall; nieces, Amanda Hall and Aundrea Herrera; and dear cousin, Ron Bowman, who was like a brother to him.
A visitation will be held in Michael’s honor from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 13, 2024, at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon.
