Page P. Russell
EUSTIS, FL – Page P. Russell, 90, born on Dec. 2, 1924, in Chardon, passed peacefully, surrounded by love, at 11:55 p.m. on July 14, 2015, in Eustis, Fla.
He was a proud, strong but extremely loving and fun man, deeply loved by his entire family and all his friends.
He loved fishing, puttering and working with his hands.
Page had a smile that could light the world and warm your heart; a slap on the back meant “I Love You” — the harder the better.
He was an amazing and perfect example of a man, husband, father and friend.
Page is survived by the love of his life of 67 years, Kathleen (Kay) S. Russell; son, James P. (Cherryl) Russell, of Pompano Beach, Fla.; daughter, Kathleen L. Russell, and special friend of the family, Judy Howland, both of Ocala, Fla.; grandchildren Melissa C. Russell, Jennifer P. Russell and Samantha M. Russell, and their loving mother, Melody Hudson; grandchildren Carol T. Allen and Brian Terkeurst; and “great” grandchildren Marley, Macie, William, Robert and Harper.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hiram and Mildred; and twin brothers, William and Charles Russell.
Page served proudly in World War II, in the U.S. Navy Seabees, serving in Hawaii, Africa and in many foreign countries.
He was a master Union Plumber both in Ohio working on schools, hospitals, prisons and in Florida during the original Building of Disney’s Epcot.. He was a Volunteer Firefighter for over 20 years, a 32nd degree Mason and a long time member of the American Legion in Burton, Ohio.
Services will be held in the Hamlin & Hilbish Chapel on Monday, July 20 at 11 a.m.
The family will greet friends from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour.
Interment, with Military Honors, will follow in Lakeside Memory Gardens, Eustis.
