CLARIDON TWP. – Patrick Terrance Carver, age 58, a resident of Claridon Township, passed away April 21, 2021, at University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center.

He was born Nov. 18, 1962, in Claridon, to Johnny Eugene Carver and Ethel Mae Berg.

An alumnus of Chardon High School, Patrick emanated the mantra “Work Hard, Play Harder.” He worked in machine operation for General Electric until his retirement in 2013.

Patrick married the love of his life, Mindi (nee Kronk), on Dec. 27, 1986, in Claridon.

He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #2261.

Patrick loved being outside and could often be found tinkering with something in the garage or riding his ATV. He frequently enjoyed traveling to family homes in northern Ontario and Pine Island, Fla.

He is survived by son, Matthew (Laura); daughter, Miranda; sisters, Kathy (Mike) Bruns, Cindy (Dan) Vance, Michelle (John) Kinney.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mindi; brother, Michael; and his parents.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 30, 2021, from 5-7 p.m., at The First Congregational Church of Claridon, with service to begin at 7 p.m.

Private interment will take place Saturday, May 1, 2021.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to First Congregational Church of Claridon, 13942 Mayfield Road, Huntsburg, OH 44046; or American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org.

Patrick stayed young at heart for his whole earthly lifetime and would want to remind everyone that “It’s Yes, not Yeah” and “It’s not about the money, it’s about the life” — and his family declares that he did indeed live a good life and will be fiercely missed.
