Patsy Lou Brigham

She was born Nov. 6, 1935, in Ashland, Ohio, to Elsworth and Esther (nee Blair) Briggs.
On July 28, 1956, Patsy married the love of her life, Bruce B. Brigham. Their union spanned an incredible 68 years, during which they made Burton their home and lovingly raised their family.
Patsy was an integral part of the Burton community, dedicating 13 years as the Burton Village Clerk.
Her commitment to community service extended beyond her official duties, as she was actively involved in various organizations. Patsy was a proud 10-year member of the Burton Tuesday Club, and a cherished member of the Burton Congregational Church, where she served as Treasurer and initiated the Good Samaritan Dinner. She was also a dedicated member of the Jaycettes and volunteered her time delivering Meals on Wheels for over 10 years.
An avid participant in The Great Geauga County Fair, Patsy eagerly entered projects and attended the fair year after year.
In her leisure time, she found joy in card games, including poker, bridge and pinochle, with both friends and family. Patsy had a deep appreciation for the outdoors, walking 5 miles every day for many years, making memories with family and friends enjoying snowmobiling in the winter, and camping and relishing beach time during the summer.
Patsy’s greatest passion was her family and she poured love into every meal she prepared for them. Her warmth, kindness and unwavering dedication to others will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Patsy Lou Brigham leaves behind a legacy of love, community spirit and boundless generosity. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends and the Burton community she so dearly cherished.
