Pauline  Koscelnik

Pauline “Gram, Auntie, Polly” Koscelnik (nee Roach), age 94, peacefully passed away in her sleep the morning of May 12, 2023.

Born Jan. 31, 1929, to Martin and Margie Roach, in Auburn Township, Pauline was married to John E. Koscelnik on April 17, 1949, in Troy Township.

Pauline loved her animals and routinely donated to Geauga Humane Society’s Rescue Village.

She would drive her bright yellow Volkswagen Beetle all around town and loved when other Beetle drivers would wave to her. She loved animals, most of all her cat, Louise.

Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids.

She is survived by her children, John Koscelnik, of Parkman Township, and Linda Koscelnik, of Carrollton, Texas. She also will be missed by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; and brothers, Martin Roach, Addison Roach and Ben Roach.

A graveside service will be held June 1, 2023, at 10 a.m., at Troy Township Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Pauline has requested donations to the Geauga County Sheriff’s Office K-9 program. Donations may be sent via mail to the Geauga County Sheriff’s Office, c/o K-9 Program, 12450 Merritt Road, Chardon, OH 44024.
