Pauline P. Mercuri
Pauline P. Mercuri (nee Mavar), 92, formerly of Willowick, died Jan. 18, 2024, at the Residence of Chardon surrounded by her family.
Born April 2, 1931, in Brier Hill, Pa., she was a graduate of Redstone High School in Republic, Pa.
In November of 1951 she married Anthony Mercuri at St. Hedwig’s Church in Brier Hill, Pa.
Pauline moved to the Cleveland area in 1953 and worked as a Pharmacy Technician for Revco/CVS for many years.
She was a longtime parishioner of St. Mary Magdalene in Willowick.
Pauline enjoyed playing bingo, spoiling her grandchildren and helping friends and family.
Survivors are her daughter, Kathleen Huschka (Mike Powers); sons, Anthony (Kathy) Mercuri and Robert (Staci) Mercuri; grandchildren, Gina Schneck (David), Amelia, Abigail and Anneliese Mercuri; step-grandchildren, Brian (Mary) and Scott (Danielle) Zakrajsek; great-grandchildren, Nora and Isla Schneck, and Maxwell, Miles, Wyatt, Parker and Rhett Zakrajsek.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Anthony; parents, Stephen and Catherine Mavar (nee Dorik); brothers, John, Andrew, Anthony, Rudy, Joseph, Matthew Mavar; and one sister, Mary Senzock.
A private service for immediate family will be held at Burr Funeral Home in Chardon. Her final resting place is at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
