Rebecca Dee Mihalacki

Rebecca Dee MihalackiRebecca Dee Mihalacki, 62, of Chardon, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Oct. 25, 2025.

She was born on July 7, 1963, in Nelsonville, Ohio, and with the love of her parents, was taught the values of kindness, family and faith that guided her throughout her life.

Rebecca was known for her generous spirit and caring heart—she always put others before herself.

As a devoted homemaker, her proudest role was that of grandmother to her beloved grandson, Asher. Each year, she made sure he received a signed card and, to be safe, has pre-written more awaiting his future milestones.

Family was everything to Rebecca. She stayed involved in her children’s and grandchildren’s hobbies and was truly the glue that kept everyone connected.

Her kitchen was a place of warmth and welcome. There was always a full spread waiting for anyone who came by, as she wanted to ensure everyone had something to eat. She learned her love of cooking from her mother and her meals were as comforting as her company.

Rebecca shared 40 years of marriage with her husband, Raymond Mihalacki. Together, they faced life’s challenges hand in hand and celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary this past Aug. 9. The family holds dear their memories of visiting loved ones in Philippi, W. Va., where laughter and love were always abundant.

A devoted member of the Chardon Church of Christ, Rebecca taught Sunday school and lived her faith daily. Following in the footsteps of her father, who was also a minister, she often reminded others with simple faith, “God will take care of it.”

Rebecca is survived by her husband, Raymond Mihalacki; sons, Justin Ice and Steven Mihalacki; daughter, Audrey (Tyler) Myden-Mihalacki; cherished grandson, Asher Mihalacki; and brothers, Ronald Ice and Rodney Ice.

Rebecca is preceded in death by her parents, Rhoderick Ice and Gwendolyn McCray.

Visitation will be held on Monday, Nov. 3, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon, Ohio. A funeral service will follow at 12 p.m., with a procession to Hambden Township for the graveside committal.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations be made to The National Multiple Sclerosis Society, https://www.nationalmssociety.org/how-you-can-help/ways-to-give; or to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation https://www.npcf.us/donate/.

Rebecca will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her kindness, faith and love will continue to live on through her family and all those whose lives she touched.

Arrangements are entrusted to Burr Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.burrservice.com.
