Richard James Farley
Richard “Rick” James Farley, of Mayfield Heights and Chester Township, Ohio, passed away March 23, 2026, from pancreatic cancer.
Rick is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie (nee Katz); adult children, Rebecca (Tommy Lee) and Kevin (Ulyssa Spring); his brother, Don (Mary); his granddaughters, Jaisa (Steven Frazier) and Hayden; his grandson, Calvin; and far more granddogs than he likely ever anticipated.
Rick was a graduate of Mayfield Heights High School and attended Kent State University. He looked forward to every class reunion.
He was a dedicated Allstate agent for thousands of clients over many decades and a proud U.S. Marine.
Rick was the ultimate people person and connected with everyone he ever met. He was a storyteller, sought to connect with people from all walks of life and volunteered at the City Mission.
He was a dedicated fan of the Cleveland Browns, despite their record as well as the Cleveland Indians/Guardians.
The family would like to thank the Hillcrest 3W medical professionals, the staff at Advanced Health Care of Landerhaven, Cleveland Clinic Hospice and the amazing people at Home Instead.
A Celebration of Life for Rick will be held at 12 noon on May 2, 2026, at Pinstripes, 111 Park Ave., Beachwood, Ohio. Please bring a story to share as we know there are many.
