Roger William Skolaris
Roger William Skolaris, age 78, of Middlefield, passed away Saturday Sept. 7, 2024, at University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 27, 1945, in Cleveland, to the late Frank and Ruth (nee Ratdke) Skolaris.
Roger was manager for Rhoda Nursery, in Huntsburg Township, for over 20 years, and maintenance foreman for Superior/Jamestown Container Corp., in Warrensville and Twinsburg, where he retired.
Roger was a member of St. Lucy’s Catholic Church.
He enjoyed classic cars and camping with his family.
Roger will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Linda (nee Koynock) Skolaris, who he married on Aug. 2, 1969; his children, Kieth Skolaris and Michelle (Marin) Simicevic; grandchildren, Sammatha and Evan; two brothers, Fred Skolaris and Frank (Wendy) Skolaris; brothers-in-law, Drew (Nancy) Koynock, Larry Koynock, David (Rene) Koynock; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Marlene Campbell; and niece Kimberly Campbell.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, Sept. 12, 2024, from 4-8 p.m., at Sly family Funeral Home, 15670 W. High St., Middlefield.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 13, 2024, at St. Lucy’s Catholic Church, 16280 E High St., Middlefield, with Father Jacob Bearer officiating.
Burial will follow Mass at Middlefield Cemetery.
