Sally Mae Miller

She was born on Aug. 13, 1945, in Claridon Township, Ohio, to the late Lester and Fannie (nee Schmucker) Detweiler.
Sally was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great friend to many. She spent her life caring for her family as a homemaker and worked cleaning homes in her community.
A woman of strong Christian faith, Sally was an active member of New Mercies Church, where she faithfully taught Sunday School and served in the church kitchen. She found great joy in serving others, traveling and, most especially, spending time with her grandchildren and attending their activities.
She is survived by her loving husband, John Henry Miller; her children, Brian (Theresa) Miller, Kevin (Megan) Miller and Kim (Rick) Rofe; her grandchildren, Andrew, Aaron, Austin, Abby, Natalie, Savannah, Ryan, Alyssa and Emily; and her sisters, Carol (Bill) Miller, Susan (Henry) Miller and Cora (the late Sam) Byler. She also is survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her infant daughter; and her brothers, Ray (Liz) Detweiler, Lester (Mattie) Detweiler Jr. and William Henry Detweiler; and brother-in-law, Sam Byler.
Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, May 4, 2026, at Sly Family Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at New Mercies Church, with Pastor Roy Williams officiating.
Burial will immediately follow the service at Overlook Cemetery, Parkman Township, Ohio.
Sally’s kindness, faith, and love for her family will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
