Scott F. Whitney
Scott F. Whitney, age 55, passed away on July 6, 2025.
Born March 6, 1970, in Cleveland, he was a longtime Chester Township resident.
A proud Ohioan, Scott had a deep and loyal love for the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State football, faithfully cheering on his teams every season.
He had a sharp mind and a creative spirit, which he expressed through his passion for computers, video games and anime. Music was a constant companion in Scott’s life.
He also had a soft spot for cats, and his love and care for his feline companions showed his gentle and kind heart.
Scott is survived by his son, Ryan Whitney; sister, Debbie (Mike) Tyukodi; and father, Byron Whitney.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Jean Whitney.
Family and friends may call at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 11900 Chillicothe Road, Chesterland, on Sunday, July 27, 2025, from 3-4 p.m., where services will be held immediately after at 4 p.m. A gathering in the Friendship Room will follow services.
