You’re Invited to Join Girl Scouts!
Girl Scouts of North East Ohio is excited to continue welcoming new girls.
This year, school has been anything but normal for your girl. She may be missing out on connecting with her friends and the familiarity of the classroom environment. No matter what her school year looks like, Girl Scouts of North East Ohio (GSNEO) is here for you and your girl with a new way to connect to friends and create a new sisterhood!
In Girl Scouts, girls’ social and emotional learning and leadership development is the center of all programming. They learn to tie together the knowledge, attitude, and skills necessary to help them set and achieve goals, establish positive relationships, understand and manage their emotions, and gain a sense of belonging. And none of that stops even as we navigate uncertain times and as many other activities come to a halt.
Girl Scouts can bring out the best in your girl, even in the most challenging of times. Right now, when you sign your girl up for Girl Scouts, she’ll:
- Join a group of local girls—called a troop—for regularly scheduled meetings (either virtual or in person)
- Make new friends in a space where she feels comfortable to just be herself
- Have a community of caring adult volunteers to guide her as she tries new things
- Make the world a better place by helping her community
- Try coding, robotics, engineering and more through hands-on STEM activities
- Enjoy the great outdoors while learning how to protect animals and the environment
- Build business smarts through the Girl Scout Cookie Program
GSNEO is hosting virtual parties that allow girls to experience Girl Scouts, with themes including an Animal Dance Party and Robot Building Party! These are opportunities for girls to discover their talents, form friendships with other girls, and take action through girl-led activities. These events are open to all girls in Kindergarten through grade 5 and their parents/caregivers.
We can’t wait to meet you and share how Girl Scouts can brighten your girl’s world. Adults can join alongside your girl, too!
