CFHS Orchestra Shines
The Chagrin Falls High School Orchestra participated in the 2024 Northern Ohio String Festival (NOSF) at the Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Performing Arts earlier this fall. Led by orchestra director Kendra Karricker, the students joined nearly 500 high school musicians, teachers and chaperones for the event. Each orchestra performed in Gamble Auditorium and participated in clinics with expert string clinicians. It was a day filled with exceptional music and growth.
CFMS Students Design Businesses for Downtown
Seventh-graders at Chagrin Falls Middle School recently applied their entrepreneurial skills to create unique business concepts for downtown Chagrin Falls. Working in small groups, students developed ideas complete with budgets, logos and store layouts.
The hands-on project emphasized marketing, budgeting, and design. Students voted on their favorite concept – the winning team designed “New Generation,” a store where customers could design and print their own creations on-site.
The real-world problem-solving exercise encouraged creativity and teamwork among the students.
