Senior Trip to Museum of Art
The entire senior class recently visited the Cleveland Museum of Art to connect their classroom study of world religions to the museum’s impressive collection of religious art.
The 186-member class was split in two groups, with one group visiting the museum on Wednesday and the other on Thursday. Theology Department Chairperson Michelle Nowak and theology teachers Beth Riley and Gregg Stovicek coordinated the trip, which included a family-style luncheon at Angelo’s Nido Italia Restaurant in Little Italy.
Biomedical Symposium
Twenty-two students in NDCL’s innovative biomedical studies course presented their differential diagnoses and fielded probing questions of actual case studies from several visiting medical and science professionals during the Biomedical Symposium on Nov. 30 in the Sisters of Notre Dame Learning Commons.
Science Department Chairperson Maureen Wahl and science teacher Elizabeth Ford teach the biomedical course with professional assistance from Dr. Janet Poponick ’77, a retired MetroHealth physician who serves on the Notre Dame Schools Board of Directors.
