Clothing Drive Benefits Women

Students in NDCL’s Faith and Justice through Life and Literature class are collecting women’s professional clothing for formerly incarcerated women to support them as they interview for employment.

The clothing drive supports participants in EDWINS Leadership & Restaurant Institute, a nonprofit that trains formerly incarcerated adults in the culinary and hospitality industry while providing a support network necessary for their long-term success. Students in the faith and justice course, which is taught by English department chairperson Victoria Frabotta ’86, will visit EDWIN’s on Oct. 6.

Clothing most needed includes suits, skirts, blouses, dress pants and blazers. All donations should be brought to NDCL’s main office.

With everyone working together, NDCL can support EDWINS’ mission “that every human being, regardless of their past, has a right to a fair and equal future.”
