AlphaJump is one of the exciting junior high electives offered this year. It is a program sponsored by St. Ignatius High School that fosters student interest in becoming entrepreneurs. NDES students have been working on developing their products since September.

Prior to Easter break, AlphaJump students participated in a “Shark Tank” type of competition within NDES.

Hailey Karban came in first place. Her product is called “Project Quick Change.” She created an undergarment that actresses can wear under their costumes to allow for quick costume changes. Her idea will be passed along to the judges at St. Ignatius and she will compete for additional cash prizes and awards.

Nick Ravakhah and Brayden Jackson came in second place with “Relax Wax,” lip balm made with natural ingredients that have a relaxation element to them. Third place winners were Maddie Sammut and Dylan White who created “Project Notebook Saver,” a notebook cover that protects spiral bound notebooks from coming apart. All winners received cash prizes ranging from $20 to $100.
