After months of weekly practice and hard work, 14 students in grades six through eight participated in the regional Science Olympiad competition at Kenston High School. They were coached by a group of NDES teachers.
Science Olympiad is one of the most elite science competitions in the nation, providing rigorous, standards-based events that incorporate science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). All of the students had a wonderful experience participating on the Science Olympiad team.
Adaptations of Animals
Fourth-graders have been learning about adaptations of animals. In an investigation last week, they explored what beak types would help an animal to eat its food.
