First Liturgy Back in the Chapel

The opening school liturgy was a joyful occasion as the entire school community was able to worship together in the Sisters’ Chapel for the first time in almost two years. NDES thanks its presider, Fr. Jenne from St. Helen, and Sr. Ellen and Sr. Olivia for providing the music. It was a blessed time together of faith expression and spiritual growth.

Skittles and Second Grade

Mrs. Montague’s second-graders learned to represent data on a graph using one of their favorite treats – Skittles. They had so much fun counting, sorting and graphing. Students used a data set to take apart and compare problems with the bar graph.

It is fun applying learning to everyday things students enjoy. The school year has started off so well as everyone practices working together as a community staying safe and making friends.
