Sixth Grade Book Club
This year the sixth-grade classes studied ancient cultures. To bring life to Confucius’ saying, “You cannot open a book without learning something,” each student chose to read a biography and do research on a famous person from history or science. The lives of these great people were shared in a book club meeting last week.
Students enjoyed delicious refreshments while sharing the results of their research. John Glenn, Albert Einstein, Thomas Edison, Abraham Lincoln, Queen Elizabeth I, Marie Curie, Nikola Tesla, Steve Jobs and Stephen Hawking were just some of the great people that the students shared. Living out the wonderful quotes they discovered will be a lifetime goal.
