Breakfast Bag Month
St. Helen School’s Spirit and Service Squad hosted its month-long service project of making breakfast bags in February. The breakfast bags benefit Saint Paschal Baylon’s Helping Hands Ministry. The Spirit and Service Squad has completed the service project for several years, making several thousand breakfast bags.
Students brought in various food and drink items and placed them in bins in the atrium of the school. Each class decorated lunch bags with words of encouragement. The eighth-grade class filled the bags each week. The bags were then picked up by volunteers who distributed them to the homeless.
